Family ROADMAP
RVing is a ROADMAP to strengthening bonds in families. I can attest to this personally. As a young teenager I got to RV in a Class C Motorhome my Mom bought.
When we lived in Nebraska we camped locally by the river. They were just weekends, but the TIME SPENT TOGETHER as a family by ourselves with no distractions was wonderful. It was also a relaxing atmosphere for us all to just enjoy each other.
We traveled across the country from Nebraska to California bringing along my Aunt, my Mom's oldest sister. I only really saw her on holidays and did not know her that well. By the TIME SPENT TOGETHER on that trip I discovered a pretty cool and funny Aunt who still wore her hair in a beehive. We all were amazed how she had to cover it every night with a scarf lol.
With that same Aunt we took a trip to Lake Tahoe to camp at a campground. Let's just say it didn't live up to the pictures in the brochure. So my Mom and Aunt regrouped and discovered there was camping on the parking lot of a Casino in Reno, Nevada with full hook ups. How they found it with no cell phones or internet back then I have no idea. Our TIME SPENT TOGETHER was a little different on this trip. They spent time in the Casino while us kids spent time in the arcades and then we all came together by the pool.
In California we got to camp on the beach. I can still remember the warm feeling I had of the TIME SPENT TOGETHER with my Mom. I can still remember the smell of her fixing us a simple lunch of spaghettios after swimming in the waves.
The bonds in my family were strengthened through TIME SPENT TOGETHER RVing. I encourage you to strengthen your family bonds by spending time together RVing.
