Myrtle Beach is situated on the Atlantic Ocean just minutes away from the South Carolina – North Carolina border and offers plenty of reasons to pack up your RV, grab a couple of friends or family members and take an extended vacation. Geography

Myrtle Beach is a short 150 mile drive east of Columbia, SC, 183 miles south of Raleigh, North Carolina and 350 miles southwest of our headquarters here in Chesapeake, Virginia. With over 14 million annual visitors per year, Myrtle Beach offers an adventurous and exciting vacation. Mild temperatures throughout the year mean you can travel almost year-round (with exception of December through February) and enjoy the beach.

Outdoors

If you’re a fan of the beach and the water, then you’re looking at the right place. With miles of beautiful beaches that offer swimming, deep-sea fishing, boating, para sailing, jet-ski rentals, surfing for kids and adults, and plenty more! If you’ve got a golfer in your party, then they won’t want to leave this golfer’s paradise. With over 80 courses in the area, you can find a course for any degree of difficulty and spend your day out on the links with the fresh ocean air.

Restaurants

Good food is one of the many reasons to consider Myrtle Beach. There are tons of gourmet restaurants serving everything from fresh seafood to Mexican cuisine. Being situated right on the coast allows for there to be plenty of delicious seafood eateries. When you’re in town, be sure to check out Sea Captain’s House, Bimini’s Oyster Bar, Bovine’s or Captain Dave’s Dockside for your seafood fix. Another specialty of South Carolina is the high-quality steakhouses that are everywhere along the coast. Some of the more popular ones include Carolina Roadhouse, Chuck’s Steakhouse, or the Library for some choice steak selections.

RV Parks

Before you hit the road towards the coast, make sure there are plenty of RV spaces available, as Myrtle Beach is a very popular tourist attraction and you may be out of luck! Plan ahead and reserve your spot in advance.
